The NAVY CUT Band Shirt draws inspiration from a time when shirt collars were removable for laundering. In that era, shirts were often worn without the detachable collar attached, leaving behind what we now recognize as the band collar. Staying true to that origin, Post O’Alls includes small buttonholes at the collar band designed to accept studs for attaching a removable collar, an authentic detail that reflects the shirt’s historical roots.
This version takes the concept in a new direction with short sleeves. Since original band collar shirts from that period were almost exclusively long sleeve garments, the short sleeve NAVY CUT introduces a fresh interpretation while keeping the vintage construction details intact.
Cut from black Panama cloth and prewashed for comfort, the fabric has a lightly textured weave that keeps the shirt breathable while maintaining structure. The result is a piece that balances historical detail with an easy summer silhouette.
